More than 1,000 people attended the open house and celebrations. One decorated tree stood inside this building. This tree had the theme "Maryland Authors."  Larger file -- 78k, jpeg

Thurgood Marshall, a Supreme Court Justice, began his law career in Maryland. This statue stands near the foot of the State House steps.
